Fat Prophets was founded in 2000 by stockbroker Angus Geddes. The company has since grown to become an internationally recognised and trusted financial services brand. From modest beginnings in Australia, Fat Prophets has expanded the foot print to include offices in London, Sydney and Auckland.
There are three main pillars to the Fat Prophets success story:
1. We have a passion and an absolute dedication to making you money.
2. We are totally committed to searching for and picking the stocks with the very best chance of rising in value in the weeks, months and years ahead.
3. We will offer you an outstanding level of service.
When we launched in 2000 we saw a finance industry that was out of touch with investors’ needs. A new breed of independent investor had entered the market in need of transparent and trustworthy stock market advice. More than a decade on research and investment return track record speaks for itself. This is why our membership and investor base continue to grow and many of our founding Members are still with us today.
Although we have grown considerably over the years, my colleagues and I remained true to our core principles and values. The mission that we set ourselves back in 2000 is as true today as the day we launched - to make your investment account as FAT as possible.
Our research advice and funds management services are completely geared for retail investors. We are not paid by any of the companies that we recommend in our research reports because our members’ interests have always come first.
Our excellent performance track record and overall transparency distinguishes us from much of the competition in the investment arena. Our analysts are often seen on financial cable and free to air television providing insight and opinion on the important issues of the day. You may already have seen me or one of our analysts on the BBC, Bloomberg, CNBC, and Sky.
We are also regularly quoted in the business press and other national and international newspapers. When the financial media want an opinion, they talk to us.
Another core principle that I put in place from day one is our dedication to transparency and accountability. Every open and closed out buy recommendation that has ever made in any of our research reports is available for review, as is the performance of our funds management services.
