Fat Prophets Funds Management

Fat Prophets Funds Management was launched in 2005, to assist members who don't have the time to invest for themselves or who want direct access to our stock selection expertise.

In order to retain some of the key attributes of Fat Prophets investment philosophy (i.e. transparency and accountability) we chose a progressive new investment instrument enabling investing in shares: separately managed accounts (SMAs).

The Separately Managed Account (SMA) is one of the most significant developments in managed funds in a decade to help you invest in Australia. Simply put, it means that you can have a professionally managed portfolio, just as you once had with a managed fund, but now with the vital difference that you own the share portfolio yourself.

The beauty of the Fat Prophets SMA is that you gain many of the advantages of your own personalised portfolio, but none of the hassles of managing it yourself. Compared to a traditional unitised managed fund the benefits are plain to see:

Fat Prophets SMA Traditional Managed Funds

You are the beneficial owner of a direct share portfolio *

You own units in a pooled fund of investments

Franking credits are shared between all unit holders

You can customise and diversify your share portfolio

The fund's manager determines your entire portfolio

You can access online reports with all the information you need on your portfolio 24/7

The fund's reports are generally issued annually

* The minium investment is $25,000
